Train Muay Thai at Gracie Barra Westchase on Fondren Road, with adult classes six days a week and a separate Youth Kickboxing program for ages 7–13. Our schedule gives you morning, lunchtime and evening options, whether you’re starting out or making training part of your week.

What to expect in your first class

Arrive 10 minutes before class so we can get you signed in and help with any loaner equipment you need. Wear comfortable workout clothing, and let our team know whether you’re booking adult Muay Thai or Youth Kickboxing.

Your instructor will guide you through the class. You can ask questions about equipment, the schedule and which sessions suit your experience. Sparring is optional.

Adult Muay Thai

Our all-levels classes cover striking with punches, kicks, knees and elbows, along with footwork and clinch techniques. Start with the fundamentals and work with your instructor on the details as you progress.

Regular classes: Monday–Saturday at 11:00 AM; Monday–Friday at 6:00 PM; Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 AM.

Sparring: Monday and Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Participation is optional.
Advanced sessions: Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM, with an advanced training focus. Ask your instructor which sessions fit your experience.

Youth Kickboxing · Ages 7–13

Kids have their own all-levels classes: Monday–Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM. When you contact us, let us know your child’s age so our team can help arrange their first visit.

Laura Kolm is a highly accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and instructor, currently holding the rank of Purple Belt. With an impressive competition record, Laura has secured the title of 2-time World Champion, 2-time European Champion, and 2-time Pan American Champion. Her dedication and expertise in the sport have made her a respected figure in the BJJ community.

Currently, Laura serves as a dedicated instructor at Gracie Barra River Oaks and Gracie Barra Westchase, where she shares her knowledge and passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with her students. Known for her technical proficiency and competitive spirit, Laura is committed to helping her students develop their skills and achieve their full potential in the sport.

Off the mats, Laura is known for her humility and dedication to her craft, embodying the values of respect, perseverance, and sportsmanship. With her wealth of experience and success in the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Laura Kolm continues to inspire and mentor the next generation of grapplers.
